NEU308164CGM is designed for industrial convergence where many fiber links must be aggregated into a manageable distribution layer. With 16 SFP ports, it is ideal for fiber rings, zone aggregation, and long-distance backbone interconnects, while 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports handle local copper access. ERPS fast ring recovery under 50 ms reduces downtime during link failures, supporting ring, star, and tree topologies. Layer 2 switching with VLAN segmentation helps isolate automation, surveillance, and monitoring services. Link aggregation, storm suppression, and port mirroring improve stability and speed up troubleshooting. Management is available via Web, CLI, and SNMP.

NEU308164CGM is an industrial Ethernet fiber aggregation switch built for converged OT networks where many SFP links must be terminated and managed in one rack. With 16 SFP ports, it is well suited for fiber rings and zone backbones connecting workshops, substations, tunnels, or dispersed cabinets, while 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports provide local copper access for nearby devices and access switches. Combo ports add flexibility for uplinks and mixed-media designs.

Network reliability is strengthened with ERPS ring technology providing recovery under 50 ms, helping maintain continuous operation when a single uplink or fiber segment fails. The switch supports ring, star, tree, and chain topologies, enabling common industrial designs such as a fiber ring backbone with star-connected cabinets, or a tree structure from a control room to multiple zones. STP, RSTP, and MSTP provide additional redundancy options.

For segmentation and performance control, NEU308164CGM supports VLAN and QoS priority so different OT services can run on the same infrastructure while remaining isolated. Link aggregation increases uplink throughput and resilience, and storm suppression and port mirroring help stabilize the network and accelerate troubleshooting. IGMP snooping improves multicast efficiency for surveillance and monitoring distribution.

Operations teams can configure and monitor the switch using Web, CLI, and SNMP with SNMP v1/v2/v3, supported by interface monitoring and log management. The IP40 fanless enclosure with enhanced surge and EMC protection, dual redundant DC 9–52V input, and -40°C to 75°C operating range support harsh industrial environments.
