NEU500244T8CGS is a fiber-aggregation industrial Ethernet switch for building scalable, manageable OT backbones. With 24 SFP fiber interfaces and eight combo ports, it is ideal for converging multiple access layers, control cabinets, and monitoring networks into a unified backbone. 1G/10GBase-FX uplink capability supports fast inter-cabinet and inter-zone trunk links, reducing bottlenecks as networks grow.

High availability is a key design goal. ERPS ring technology provides fast self-healing under 50 ms to keep production networks online during single-link failures. STP, RSTP, and MSTP are also supported to fit different redundancy and ring or tree architectures. This makes the switch suitable for ring backbone, star aggregation to a core cabinet, and hierarchical tree distribution across workshops.

Network segmentation and traffic control are supported through 802.1Q VLAN and QinQ, plus multiple VLAN modes to separate automation, security, and IT services. Link aggregation improves uplink bandwidth and resilience, while QoS settings help prioritize critical traffic. Storm suppression and port mirroring simplify commissioning and troubleshooting, especially during multi-switch rollouts. IGMP snooping supports efficient multicast handling in surveillance and monitoring networks, and ACL plus 802.1X enhance access control.

NEU500244T8CGS supports Web, CLI, and SNMP management, including SNMP v1/v2/v3 for NMS integration. The IP40 fanless enclosure, enhanced surge protection, and strong EMC design support harsh industrial environments, and dual redundant DC 9–52V input improves power reliability.
