NEU1021GP Industrial Gigabit PoE Fiber Media Converter

NEU1021GP is an industrial Gigabit PoE media converter built to extend Industrial Ethernet over fiber while delivering power to edge devices. It integrates two 10/100/1000Base-T PoE/PoE+ RJ45 ports and one Gigabit fiber uplink, enabling long-distance transmission with strong immunity to electromagnetic interference. This design is ideal for connecting remote equipment where copper cabling is limited by distance or harsh electrical noise.

The two PoE ports automatically recognize IEEE 802.3af/at devices and can provide up to 30W per port for PoE+ applications. This simplifies field deployment by reducing separate power wiring for IP cameras, wireless access points, or industrial sensors. For stable operation in demanding sites, the unit supports redundant DC input and is designed for continuous industrial duty.

NEU1021GP is engineered for harsh environments, supporting a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 75°C and a rugged, fanless housing suited for DIN-rail installation inside control cabinets. It is designed to withstand typical industrial challenges such as surge, vibration, and electromagnetic interference, helping maintain reliable network performance in factories and infrastructure deployments.

Typical applications include factory automation networks, machine vision and production lines, highway and tunnel video surveillance, smart transportation roadside cabinets, and perimeter security systems. A common topology is point-to-point fiber extension between a control room aggregation switch and a remote cabinet, where NEU1021GP converts fiber back to copper and powers edge devices through PoE. Another common topology is a star deployment from a central fiber switch to multiple remote cabinets, reducing maintenance and improving signal integrity over long distances.
