NEU1042F Industrial Ethernet Switch, 4FE RJ45 + 2FE Fiber Unmanaged

NEU1042F is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch designed for Fast Ethernet networks that require reliable copper access and dual fiber transmission. It provides four 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports for connecting field devices and two 100Base-FX optical ports for uplink, inter-cabinet links, or extended transmission distance over fiber. As part of a dual optical convergence design, it supports flexible deployment in industrial field networks where stable communication is essential.

The switch is built for harsh environments with an IP40 fanless corrugated aluminum-alloy enclosure and efficient heat dissipation. Enhanced surge protection and EMC performance help maintain stable operation in electrically noisy industrial sites. NEU1042F supports dual redundant DC 9–52V wide-voltage power input with reverse polarity protection to improve uptime and simplify wiring in control cabinets. It operates from -40°C to 75°C and supports 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity for long-term field installation.

NEU1042F uses store-and-forward switching to provide dependable packet forwarding for industrial monitoring and control traffic. Key performance specifications include an 8K MAC address table, 1.5 Mbit packet buffer memory, 1.6G switching bandwidth, and switching delay under 10 microseconds. The optical ports are 100Base-FX and can be ordered with SC, FC, or ST connectors to match different fiber termination requirements.

Typical applications include factory automation networks, PLC and HMI connectivity, industrial PC networking, and access aggregation for monitoring systems. Common topologies include point-to-point fiber links between cabinets, star aggregation in a central control cabinet, tree distribution across multiple workshop zones, and line or daisy-chain networks along production lines.
